I am close friends with Jacquelynn's dad, and so when they contacted me to shoot her wedding, I was both honored and excited. After an intensely cold engagement session the previous fall, I was excited for a summer wedding! Full of love, laughter, and a lot of pretty intense dancing, it was a wedding to remember! Congratulations Taylor and Jacquelynn!

Taylor and Jacquelynn met at a high school cross country camp run by Athletes in Action, where they were both counselors in the summer of 2013. They were not one of those "love at first sight" situations. In fact, Jacquelynn was the only college age girl counselor at camp that year so she spent the week pretending to be "one of the boys".

After returning home they stayed in touch, texting and talking on the phone fairly frequently. Through their correspondence they began to take a liking to one another and that Christmas break Jacquelynn flew out to Wyoming to spend time with Taylor and his family. After that week, they officially started dating.

On October 17th, 2014 they took the step from dating to engagement. It was a Friday evening and Jacquelynn thought that Taylor had a cross country meet in Fort Hayes, Kansas. Little did she know that the meet had been canceled weeks ago and he had already bought the ring and talked to her parents.

They were planning on chatting on the phone that evening, and early that morning he began the long trek to Mount Pleasant, Michigan. After being stuck in traffic for about an hour (the longest hour of his life) he arrived at Jacquelynn's apartment. He called her on the phone and said, "your birthday present is outside!" She came outside and Taylor proposed right there on her front step!

The rest, they say, is history.
